Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is an actress from Germany and Romania. Her most well-known movies include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born the only child to Romanian actors Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her career in show business from a young age. At the age of 16, she reached the age of 16years old, Alexandra was able to land the leading roles in numerous shows on television. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. This film received nominations for an Oscar and won critical and commercial success. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra is well-known for her work in numerous important projects in both the US as well as internationally. Some of these include the British biographical documentary Control, the Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, and the French historical miniseries Napoleon. Other roles she has held include being an official jury member for two festivals: the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
